About this program.

This is a simple Nepali video search offered by weblali. You can search videos from popular sites such as Youtube®, Metacafe®, and Revver® . A few video interactive tools will also be here.

What is Dohar ?

To Lali, Dohori is basically a list of videos arranged by the first and last letter of songs. For example, if music video "A" ends with the letter "C", the next video must start with letter "C". Another rule is, you can't use the same video twice. Currently, there is no way to tell if your arrangement is valid. But in future, you may notice ratings by users. Currently only Youtube(Tm) videos are supported in Dohori. But we will be adding support for other videos soon.

Dohori is Easy !

Ok. So, Dohori is fun. But I can't find a video to arrange. What should I do?

That is even good reason to use Dohori. Create your own video. Sing, record, upload. Just besure that your arrangement is valid. At the moment, you can not upload videos from here. Please goto http://www.youtube.com/ to upload your videos.

How to Play Dohori ?

Lali will determine if a video shown in the search can be used to play Dohori. Search for musical videos or use the popular tags such as music, folk, modern. For all musical videos, lali puts a link below, just click on the link "Dohori" that's it.

How does weblali know if its a musical video ?

A2. Weblali determines video as a musical video based on few English and Nepali tags. For example, if a video is titled as Geet, lali thinks it is a musical video. Since this method seems to work for nearly 80% of the videos and we don't have tools to know audio content of videos, we think this should be okay for now. You can always drag and drop a video in the Play Dohori Box to add that video.
